Creative Fun
Painting for fun is something every person can choose to do--the naturally talented as well as those perceived as being talent-challenged.
As one continues painting for fun, however, certain skills and feelings begin to build. Certain color, texture, and composition preferences come into play. The range of choices progresses from naive to calculated and risky. A welcome sense of emotional release is felt as colors seem to come alive.
The "natural talent" advantage becomes secondary to the amount of raw, creative, and personal energy infused into each canvas, in each pallet. At some point, the painter either accepts the responsibility of going soulfully deep into the emotions of his color/shape explorations, or begs off, not wanting to subject himself to arduous probing.
As shown here in these images, Bob Gamage(ever the responsible world citizen!) chose to go ahead and explore his inner Picasso in search of himself.
After ten years of painting for fun, the paintings shown here are the most recent results of Bob's quest in that creative search.
